Through Modem Sharing Internet Connection Sharing

After successfully connecting two computers, other things you can do besides file and printer sharing is to share the modem. Windows XP provides a very easy setting to do this. Perform the following steps in the existing computer modem:
1. Start> Control Panel> Network and Internet Connections> Network Connections
2. Select the modem connection is about to be shared, then right-click mouse
3. Select Properties
4. Select the Advanced tab
5. In the Internet Connection Sharing option, select (tick) the Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection.
6. Select the option Establish a dial-up connection Whenever a computer on my network attempts to access the Internet if you allow one machine to automatically perform dialup.
7. Click OK. Will appear warning that the IP Address LAN Card you will be set to 192.168.0.1. The thing to remember is the computer opponent must have the IP address in range 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.254 (that go in the same segment - remember the past article).
Setting up the connection parameters for the computer opponent:
1. Go to Start> Control Panel> Network Connections
2. Select Local Area Connection. Click the right mouse button and select Properties.
3. Select the General tab, click Internet Protocol (TCP / IP). Click Properties.
4. You may select the option Obtain an IP address automatically. But it is safer if you give the IP Address in the range 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.254 then type 192.168.0.1 in the Gateway (the IP address of the modem is shared)
5. Click OK. Completed
The final step:
1. Open the Start menu> Control Panel> Internet Options
2. Select the Connections tab. Click the Setup button.
3. New Connection Wizard will appear. Click Next
4. Select Connect to the Internet. Click Next
5. Select Set up my connection manually. Click Next
6. Select Connect using a broadband connection That is always on. Click Next
7. Click Finish
Now try opening your favorite internet browser and start browsing the internet .... smile deeeh
